  I think this is a really good topic for all those lurkers out there who are trying to come to terms with their faith. Speaking from a christian standpoint i can only say that any religion that denies the diety of Christ or God is a false religion. i have studied many religions and continue to study them and i find so many lies connected with them its ridiculious. right in your face. the jw got me though. it was so subtle and only until God opened the eyes of my heart did I see the lie. this is frightening to me now but i pray that God continues to allow his Holy Spirit to guide me so that i may not fall prey to any other idol.

If a person does not have a strong bond with God it is easy to fall prey to the Devil's deceitful plans. Satan himself saw God's creation and started the whole affair of false religion. He was then able to convince thousands of angels to follow his lead. How can this be?

  a few years ago i read genesis again, and with a more objective mind, got the sense that satan was actually telling the truth, and that god was just trying to have humans be his slaves.

  and god's reign over humans hasn't been all that pretty, in fact, its been downright awful.. 'course, i'm atheist now, so i wouldn't believe it even that way around - not literally anyway.

  but i wondered if the writer/editors of genesis may have actually had this thought.. anyone know of any sources that explore this idea in depth?.

  you are confused. You do not believe the Bible because if you did you would not be into false religion. your beliefs do not agree with the Bible. Believe what you like but i would suggest you believe in Jesus Christ and get saved so that you may live.

  from coming on here from time to time i notice there is many disfellowshipped ones and alot of those who didnt like their freedoms taken away from them.

  ignoring what you have researched and know now how many of you, honestly if there was no disfellowshipping and say you were allowed to have more freedoms such as playing sports, how many of you would still be witnesses?

  once again ignore ever coming on here for insight and so forth.

  i never was baptised. i studied for 17 years but could not make a commitment. the doubts grew over the years until oct 2007, i could not take it anymore. i asked myself why i felt so far away from God. i never believed that jw were the only ones worshiping God properly though i said i believed it to family members. they wont let me forget that. jw are the truth with some lies thrown in. Satan is clever. He knows how to spread false religion around. when you are told facts and deny them you are blinded to the truth. im glad i was never baptised.

  I do not agree with all the doctrines of the jw, but in this respect i agree with them. i do believe that our loving God will allow many to die who reject his grace. people are being told all around the world about the gospel. they reject it and according to the Bible they will die and suffer. God will judge us all
